May Is Skin Cancer Awareness Month
Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, with over one million people diagnosed each year, and accounts for about 50% of all types of cancers diagnosed combined.
Skin cancer is a preventable cancer. More than 90% of skin cancer is causes by excessive exposure to the UV rays. To prevent skin cancer, all it takes is being UV ray savvy and understand that UV rays of the any sources can be the causes of skin cancers. Thus, be cautious on exposure to these rays from being outdoors, tanning booths, and even through your car or home windows.
A: Asymmetry - Unequal or asymmetric mole is suspicious.
B: Border - Irregular or indistinct mole border is suspicious.
C: Color - More than one color or shade within a mole is suspicious.
